Academic Affairs

About the Committee

The purpose of the Academic Affairs Committee is to support CSE students in their academic pursuits. We advocate for the CSE undergraduate student body through the implementation of policy change and collaboration with other advocacy groups.

The goal of this committee is to construct a synergic space in which CSE students can express any academic issues that may be imminent in the hopes of resolving them together.

Departmental Forums

Join the SESB Academic Affairs Committee for a week-long series of departmental forums exclusively for CSE students! This is your chance to share suggestions, comments, and concerns directly with your department's faculty and staff. Each meeting focuses on a different department, creating an open platform for meaningful discussions and for your voice to be heard within CSE.

Refreshments will be provided, and you can submit anonymous feedback to ensure your voice is heard while maintaining your privacy.

PIE a Professor

Pie a Professor is a fun and interactive fundraising initiative organized by the Academic Affairs Committee. It provides students with a unique opportunity to engage with their professors outside the classroom—by throwing a pie at them for a good cause!

Professors volunteer to participate, and students donate to nominate or vote for their favorite professor to take the "pie challenge." The funds raised go toward supporting academic programs, student initiatives, or charitable causes.
